Bio
I'm a 29 year old Navy vet, father of two boys, and husband of the greatest wife in the world. Born and raised in Kentucky, I joined the Navy in 2000, and in the subsequent six years I have seen much of the world that I never dreamed that I would. My first deployment in 2001-2002 saw me visit Faslane Scotland, Tromso and Bergen Norway. I don't think any Kentucky country boy in thier right mind would ever dream he would on day see those places.

My next deployment, I would visit Portsmouth England, and Tromso Norway several more times. I liked visiting Norway a lot because in my opinion, Norway has the best ratio of beautiful women to ugly women in the world. You have to really look to find an ugly woman in Norway.

Those first two deployments were while I was on board a nuclear submarine. Let me tell ya, that was a lifestyle all in it's own. I was a sonar technician on the USS Hyman G. Rickover (SSN 709). Basically what that job entails is operating the ship underwater sonar system in order to find other ships and submrines. I was good at that job and I loved to do it.

Hoever in August of 2004 the Navy decided that I needed to change jobs and so they sent me up north to Maine where I was fixing anti-submarine aircraft. Kind of ironic huh? Well I made the most of it, and actually got to make one last deployment which was to Sigonella Sicily in December of 2005. Tough i only got to stay about four out of the six months I was supposed to stay, needless to say I had the most fun on this deployment than I had on the previous ones. I even took a part time job at the base club on Friday nights hosting karaoke and playing music until late at night.

Well, that part of ym life is over now and I am now a civilian. A civilian looking for a job as we speak, but I am confident that sooner or later, things are going to fall into the right place. Right now I am just enoying being with my family, and keeping up ith what my friends do on LiveJournal.

When I'm not surfing the web, some of the things I like to do are make webpages. I have been tinkering with web pages for about the past 8 years now. I'm not a God at it, but I think I do reasonably good. Other things I do is play online games such as Battlefield Vitnam and Star Wars Galaxies. Visit ReeferManiacs to visit my BFV clan's website, and visit True Fellowship to visit my SWG guild's website.

I'm also a fan of professional wrestling. Mostly WWE, though I try to follow the local OVW promotion in Louisville as well. I have been watching wrestling since I was five years old. I grew up watching WWE and USWA wrestling on an almost religious basis so I can tell you about a lot of the goings on at various points in history with both companies.

Some of my favorite wrestlers? Well, in no particular order, Rick Rude, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Andre "The Giant", Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Shawn Micheals, Triple H, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shelton Benjamin, Sandman, Taz (before he became an announcer), Cactus Jack (before he became a joke) The Road Warriors, The Rock and Roll Express. This list is by no means all inclusive. I'm sure I left off someone.

I also harken for the days when wrestling managers were popular. Some of my favorite managers include Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Mr. Fuji, Slick, Tojo Yammamoto, Jim Cornette, and Paul Bearer. Again, this is not all inclusive, just who I could think about at the time.

I enjoy music as well. I like to think that I was blessed to enjoy several genres of music intead of only liking just one or two. To give you an idea of some of my tastes, this is a sample of some of the things I enjoy listening to.

Johnny Cash, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Statler Brothers, Metallica, Distrubed, Korn, Audioslave, Green Day, Nickelback, Snoop Dogg, Lil John, Eminem, Billy Joel, Bob Segar, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Roy Orbison, Elvis, The Beatles, The Donnas, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath (the original Black Sabbath), Ozzy Osbourne, Prince. I also like a lot of clasical music, instrumental numbers. I am fond of movie soundtracks such as the scores for the movies Titanic, We Were Soldiers, and the Star Wars movies. I also have an ear for music found in video games. Such massive role playing games as the Final Fantasy series have great musical scores and I own several CD's of them. Also music used in classic NES games during the 80's are high on my list such as the themes from Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, and Mega Man.

Hopefully this gives you some insight as to the person behind the name Pingsteal. I'm a kind person for the most part. I do have very strong opinions on certain things and tend to stand my ground when faced with someone who is contrary to my thinking. I don't try to but heads with anyone, and will generally listen to someone elses view point, until they become either a dick or an idiot, and then it's gloves off.

But other than that, I'm a laid back guy that enjoys a lively debate, making new friends, and generally having fun herever I go. People tell me I'm the life of the party a lot so hopefully you guys will feel the same. Get to know me...
